At the age of 7, when he lost his father, he lost his childhood too. He would try to support his mother’s efforts to make both ends meet for him and his little brother. Meet Mr. Haribhau Kulkarni – founder of the famous tea network – Harman Chahawala.
Haribhau’s mother used to spend nights near a temple on the ghats of Krishna River in Sangli along with her small children. All her children could learn from life was endless struggle. But Haribhau picked undying spirit from his mother. He used to learn from the ups and downs of the life with positive attitude. For him work was worship and the sky was the limit to his work.
While running a small canteen near the court in Sangli, he introduced the concept of a food truck to Sanglikars in the form of ‘Hari Ka Khana Khazana’. He worked relentlessly in the food industry and did many ventures from running a mess of 3000 students in a day boarding as well as a canteen at Bharati Medical College, ‘Hanuman’ – a restaurant serving hundreds of varieties of Dosa and an out of the box restaurant called ‘Sips & Snacks’ and later on the most loved hot tea brand – Harman Chahawala.
